Turkish Airlines Flight Changes Direction to India After Engine Warning

(MENAFN) A Turkish Airlines flight traveling from Kathmandu, Nepal, to Istanbul was diverted to India on Wednesday following a technical warning.

Yahya Ustun, senior VP of communications for the airline, said the Airbus A330 operating flight TK727 received a warning related to its right engine shortly after takeoff.

The aircraft landed safely at Kolkata Airport, where it is currently undergoing technical inspections. Ustun added that a new flight plan is being arranged to ensure passengers can continue their journey to Türkiye without further delay.
